Can common drugs stop deadly eye cancer in its tracks?

NCT ID NCT02068586

Summary

This study is testing whether taking sunitinib or valproic acid pills can help prevent eye melanoma from spreading to other parts of the body after initial treatment. The trial involves 210 high-risk patients who recently completed surgery or radiation for their eye cancer. Participants take one or both medications daily for 6-12 months to see if these drugs can keep the cancer from returning.
