New drug tested for rare, spreading eye cancer

NCT ID NCT00244816

Summary

This study tested a weekly chemotherapy drug called Taxoprexin in patients whose eye melanoma had spread to other parts of the body. The main goal was to see if the drug could shrink tumors and how long patients lived. It involved 22 participants who received the drug by IV infusion until their cancer worsened or side effects became too severe.
