New eye injection could replace major surgery for corneal swelling

Summary

This study is testing whether a single injection called AURN001 can safely reduce corneal swelling and improve vision in people who would otherwise need a corneal transplant. It will compare the injection to a placebo in 120 adults with corneal edema caused by endothelial cell loss. The main goal is to see if participants gain at least three lines of vision on an eye chart six months after treatment.
