Safer steroid eye drops tested in children with eye inflammation

NCT ID NCT07496060

Summary

This study compared two different steroid eye drops for treating eye inflammation in children. Researchers wanted to see if one medication (Loteprednol) worked as well as the standard treatment (Prednisolone) while causing fewer side effects like increased eye pressure. The trial involved 66 children who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two eye drop treatments for three months.
