Doctors look back to see if special eye drops beat parasitic infection
NCT ID NCT07195864
Summary
This study looks back at the medical records of 24 patients in Spain who were treated for a serious parasitic eye infection called Acanthamoeba keratitis. Researchers want to see how well a special eye drop solution (0.8 mg/ml polihexanide) worked to cure the infection, improve vision, and reduce pain. The goal is to understand the real-world results of this treatment.
