First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests an eye implant that slowly releases medicine to treat non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy, a common diabetes complication that can lead to vision loss. About 930 adults with moderate to severe disease will receive either the implant or a sham procedure. The goal is to see if the implant can stop the condition from getting worse over 52 weeks.
