New eye drop trial offers hope for painful dry eye condition

NCT ID NCT07118254

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental eye drop called rhPRG4 can safely reduce eye dryness and discomfort in people with moderate to severe dry eye caused by graft-versus-host disease. Fifteen participants will try both the experimental drop and a placebo drop in a random order to see which works better. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves eye staining and reduces symptoms like burning, itching, and blurred vision.
