New eye gel tested for red, irritated eyes

NCT ID NCT07443202

Summary

This study is testing a gel called lotilaner, applied directly to the eyes, to see if it is safe and can help control symptoms of ocular rosacea. About 155 adults with moderate to severe ocular rosacea will use either the active gel or a placebo gel for comparison. The main goal is to check for side effects, while also exploring if the treatment improves eye redness and irritation.
