New eye drops aim to speed vision recovery after complex eye surgery

Summary
This study tested whether ripasudil eye drops could help people with Fuchs corneal dystrophy see better and recover faster after having two eye surgeries at once: cataract removal and a procedure on the inner cornea. About 110 participants used either the eye drops or a placebo (dummy drops) for 12 weeks after surgery, followed by a long follow-up period. The main goal was to see if the drops safely helped improve vision clarity sooner.
