Tiny drops for tiny eyes: study tests gentler vision exam for kids
NCT ID NCT06885242
Summary
This study tested whether using much smaller drops of a standard eye exam medication works as well as the usual larger drops for getting accurate vision measurements in children. 63 children aged 4-16 had their vision checked using both the small 'microdrops' and the standard drops in a random order. Researchers compared the accuracy of the vision measurements and checked for side effects like sleepiness or flushing to see if the smaller dose was safer.
