Scientists watch closely as eye disease steals sight
NCT ID NCT07144137
Summary
This is an observational study that aims to learn more about how quickly geographic atrophy, a form of age-related macular degeneration that causes permanent vision loss, gets worse over a short period. It will enroll about 75 people aged 55 and older who have this condition in both eyes. The study will not test any treatments but will carefully measure changes in the eye and vision to understand the disease's natural progression and what factors might influence it.
