Simple eyelid wipe could cut surgery infection risk

NCT ID NCT07418333

Summary

This study is testing whether cleaning the eyelids with a special wipe called EPD-09-25 before and after cataract surgery helps prevent infections. Researchers will compare 100 patients who use the wipe to those who do not, checking for bacteria levels and dry eye symptoms. The goal is to see if this simple cleaning step makes surgery safer.
