Scientists map the genetic timeline of a rare eye cancer
NCT ID NCT06861647
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a rare eye cancer, called ocular melanoma, develops and spreads by tracking its DNA changes over time. Researchers analyzed tumor and blood samples from 58 adult patients to identify the sequence of genetic mutations that drive the cancer. The long-term goal is to use this knowledge to help develop better future treatments and monitoring tools.
