Scientists hunt for hidden triggers behind mysterious eye bleeds

NCT ID NCT07247071

Summary

This study aimed to find out what causes sudden, painless red patches in the white of the eye, known as non-traumatic subconjunctival hemorrhage. Researchers looked at 67 adults, comparing those who had the eye condition to those who didn't. They checked for links to things like high blood pressure, certain medications, eye rubbing, and physical strain to better understand what might trigger these harmless but startling bleeds.
