First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compares a new drain fixation method (extra-peritoneal tunneling) to the standard method after rectal cancer surgery. About 596 adults having anterior or low anterior resection will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if the new method reduces drain movement and helps manage leaks without additional surgery.
