First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study brings together 15 dermatology experts to agree on the best sun protection practices for everyone, including children, pregnant women, and people with sun-sensitive skin. Using a structured method called Delphi, they will vote on recommendations about sunscreen use, clothing, and counseling. The goal is to reduce conflicting advice and provide clear, expert-backed guidance.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to clearer, evidence-based guidelines for sun protection tailored to different groups like children and pregnant women.
What could go wrong
This is a small expert consensus study, not a clinical trial testing a treatment. The recommendations may not reflect real-world outcomes or apply universally.
