Exosome injections aim to smooth out old scars
NCT ID NCT07569666
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether injecting exosomes—tiny particles from cells that help repair skin—can improve the look and feel of atrophic (depressed) scars, like those from acne. Twelve adults with multiple facial scars will receive either exosome or saltwater injections, and neither they nor their doctors will know which. The goal is to see if exosomes are a safe and effective way to reduce scar appearance.
