Exosome gel boosts laser scar repair in split-face trial
NCT ID NCT07510295
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether exosomes from umbilical cord or bone marrow can improve atrophic acne scars when applied after fractional CO₂ laser treatment. Twenty-two adults received laser on both sides of the face, then exosomes on one side and a control solution on the other. Researchers measured scar improvement, skin texture, and side effects to see if exosomes offer extra benefit without added risk.
