Scientists hunt for crystal ball in lung fluid to predict cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07262671

Summary

This study aims to find out if analyzing tiny particles called exosomes from blood and lung fluid can predict how well advanced lung cancer patients will respond to standard treatments like immunotherapy or chemotherapy. Researchers will collect samples from 100 patients before and during treatment to see if exosome patterns match with treatment success and survival. This is an observational study that doesn't change patient treatment but seeks to improve future treatment decisions.
