First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at 300 people with first-episode schizophrenia (who haven't taken medication yet) and healthy volunteers. Researchers will examine tiny particles called exosomes in the blood to see if their microRNA content is linked to cognitive (thinking) problems. The goal is to better understand what causes these issues and find new targets for future treatments.
