Warehouse workers get robotic Back-Up in 18-Month pain reduction trial

NCT ID NCT07561112

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether wearing a passive back-support exoskeleton during manual order-picking can reduce back pain, sick leave, and worker turnover in a real Danish warehouse. About 90 full-time workers will either use the exoskeleton or continue normal work for 18 months. Researchers will track discomfort, productivity, and cost-effectiveness to see if the device helps without slowing work.
