Robotic suit aims to give breath back to lung patients

NCT ID NCT05835271

Summary

This study is testing if a powered hip exoskeleton—a wearable robotic device—can help people with very severe chronic lung disease walk farther and longer. The device is designed to do some of the work of walking, which lowers the energy and breathing effort required. Researchers will compare how long 12 participants can walk with and without the exoskeleton's assistance to see if it improves their endurance.
