Robot hip assist lets lung patients walk farther
NCT ID NCT05835271
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a powered exoskeleton that helps the hips can improve walking endurance in people with very severe chronic lung disease. The device takes over some of the work of walking, lowering the energy and breathing demand. Twelve participants will compare walking with and without the exoskeleton to see if it helps them walk longer and faster.
