First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a powered exoskeleton that assists the hips can help people with very severe chronic lung disease walk longer and farther. The device reduces the energy needed for walking, which may ease breathing demands. Twelve participants will compare walking endurance with and without the exoskeleton. The goal is to see if this technology can improve daily mobility and support pulmonary rehabilitation.
