First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study compared exergaming (video game-based exercise) to standard physical therapy in 78 older adults living in nursing homes. The goal was to see if the fun, interactive approach could improve physical function, enjoyment, and adherence just as well or better than usual care. Participants were over 60, able to stand with or without a walking aid, and had no severe vision or medical issues preventing activity.
