First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how exercise training affects blood pressure and heart rate in people with HIV. Participants will do 12 weeks of supervised strength and aerobic exercises. The goal is to see if regular exercise can improve the body's muscle reflexes and exercise tolerance.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
exercise training
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that regular exercise improves blood pressure and heart rate control in people with HIV, pointing toward better exercise programs for this group.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (63 participants) focused on understanding body responses, not testing a treatment. Results may not apply to all people with HIV, and exercise benefits may vary.
