New study: exercise and brain training may ease period pain

Summary

This study looks at whether adding motor imagery (mental practice of movements) or pain neuroscience education (learning about how pain works) to a regular exercise program can reduce menstrual pain and improve thinking flexibility in young women with primary dysmenorrhea. About 51 women aged 18-25 will take part in an 8-week program with supervised exercise twice a week. The goal is to find better ways to manage period pain without medication.
