First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a personalized exercise program, started before breast cancer surgery and continued for a year after, could prevent lymphedema (arm swelling) and improve quality of life. Forty women participated, doing structured exercises and regular check-ups. The goal was to see if prehabilitation could become a standard part of breast cancer care.
