Can a workout plan help you kick the habit? new study tests exercise plus therapy to stop smoking
NCT ID NCT07186049
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a structured exercise program to cognitive-behavioral therapy (talk therapy) helps people quit smoking better than therapy alone. Researchers will enroll 66 adult smokers and randomly assign them to receive either just therapy, therapy plus exercise, or general health advice. Over 12 weeks, they'll measure how many people successfully quit smoking and track improvements in lung function, energy levels, and overall quality of life.
