Scientists test the Heart's limits: can ARVC patients safely exercise more?

NCT ID NCT06040242

Summary

This study aims to measure how much stress different physical activities put on the hearts of people with Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), a genetic heart condition. Researchers will monitor 120 participants with ARVC and a control group while they perform exercises like walking, cycling, and weightlifting. The goal is to gather scientific data to help create safer, more personalized exercise guidelines, as current recommendations are considered arbitrary and often not followed.
