Can a fitbit and a coach stop seniors from falling?
NCT ID NCT04851405
Summary
This study is testing two ways to deliver a proven exercise program that helps prevent falls in older adults. Researchers are comparing a new coaching method, where a physiotherapist uses a Fitbit to give feedback, against the traditional way of delivering the exercises. They will measure how well the exercises are followed, the number of falls, and whether the new coaching approach is a cost-effective option over two years.
