Army tests 'Sweat Suit' workout to prep soldiers for extreme heat

NCT ID NCT07080853

Summary

This study tested if exercising while wearing extra clothing in a normal gym environment could safely raise a person's core body temperature. The goal was to see if this method could help people, like soldiers, adapt to working in hot conditions without needing a special heat chamber. Researchers compared workouts in standard gym clothes to workouts in an overdressing ensemble.
