Shock and stride: new combo aims to keep seniors on their feet

Summary

This study looks at whether a leg exercise program and a gentle electrical nerve stimulation can improve muscle strength, muscle size, walking, and reduce fall risk in older women aged 65-84. About 42 relatively healthy women who can walk on their own will take part. The goal is to find simple ways to help seniors stay active and safe.
