First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at two simple methods—leg exercises and gentle electrical nerve stimulation—to see if they can make older women's legs stronger, improve walking, and lower the chance of falling. About 42 women aged 65-84 who are generally healthy will take part. Researchers will measure muscle size, strength, and walking speed to find out which approach works best.
