Zap & pedal: can electric muscle boosts help kids with CP walk better?
NCT ID NCT07173647
Summary
This study tested if adding electrical muscle stimulation to a cycling exercise program helps children with cerebral palsy more than just exercise. 26 children aged 6-10 did a 4-week, supervised cycling program. One group had small electrical pulses applied to their leg muscles during exercise. Researchers measured changes in balance, walking, and mobility to see which approach worked better.
