Summary
This study aims to understand why people with transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia often experience severe fatigue and difficulty with physical activity. Researchers will compare 36 patients with the blood disorder to a matched group of healthy volunteers. Participants will undergo fitness tests, blood work, and questionnaires to measure physical performance, muscle function, and quality of life.
