Special exercises aim to help frail elderly move without fear

NCT ID NCT07253714

Summary

This study tested whether adding special neck coordination exercises to a standard exercise program could help elderly nursing home residents with muscle loss (sarcopenia). Researchers wanted to see if these exercises improved neck movement awareness, reduced fear of movement, and decreased excessive worry about pain. Thirty-one residents completed either the standard exercises or the standard exercises plus the extra neck training over six weeks.
