Pumping iron for a stronger heart: study tests exercise as medicine for postmenopausal women
NCT ID NCT06958965
Summary
This study tested whether a whole-body weight training program could improve blood vessel function and physical strength in postmenopausal women. Researchers enrolled 32 women aged 55-70 to follow a progressive resistance exercise routine. The goal was to see if building muscle strength could also help protect against heart disease risks that increase after menopause.
