Head-to-Head exercise trial aims to boost recovery for young cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT07330141
Summary
This study tested two different aerobic exercise programs to see which works better for improving heart, lung, and physical function in children who have finished treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). 72 young survivors, aged 10-18, were split into three groups to follow different 12-week exercise plans. Researchers measured fitness and walking ability before and after to compare the results of constant-intensity exercise versus exercise that gradually got harder.
