Can exercise fix a sunken chest? new study tests breathing workouts for kids

NCT ID NCT07300748

Summary

This study is testing whether a special cardiopulmonary exercise program can help children with pectus excavatum (a sunken chest deformity). Researchers want to see if the exercises improve breathing strength, walking endurance, posture, and reduce symptoms like chest pain. The trial will involve 40 children aged 5-18 who are already using non-surgical treatments like a vacuum brace.
