First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can improve liver health in adults aged 18-59 who are overweight or have obesity and related conditions like diabetes. Thirty participants will either do HIIT for 8 weeks or continue their usual routine. The goal is to see if exercise can reduce liver fat and scarring, and if a special scan called FibroScan can track these changes.
