First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week personalized exercise program can reduce fatigue and improve physical function in people with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Participants will do supervised aerobic and resistance training twice a week plus home exercise. The goal is to see if the program is safe, feasible, and helps with symptoms like fatigue and quality of life.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

supervised aerobic and resistance exercise program

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a safe, drug-free way to manage fatigue and improve quality of life for people with these rare blood cancers.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early feasibility study with only 25 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. Exercise may cause injury or other side effects, and benefits may not last after the program ends.
