New exercise study aims to ease stiffness and improve movement for kids with cerebral palsy
NCT ID NCT06676540
Summary
This study tested whether adding a specific type of exercise, called eccentric training, to standard physical therapy could better improve muscle stiffness, walking, and balance in children and teens with spastic cerebral palsy. It involved 42 participants aged 6-18, who were randomly assigned to receive either standard therapy or standard therapy plus the special exercises for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if the extra exercises led to better movement and daily function.
