Can a new type of exercise ease stiffness and improve walking for kids with CP?

NCT ID NCT06676540

Summary

This study tested whether adding a specific type of leg exercise, called eccentric training, to standard physical therapy could better help children and teenagers with spastic cerebral palsy. The goal was to see if these exercises could reduce muscle stiffness, improve walking patterns, and help with balance. Forty-two participants aged 6 to 18 were split into two groups to compare the effects of the combined program against standard therapy alone over eight weeks.
