Can understanding pain make exercise work better for bad backs?

NCT ID NCT07202533

Summary

This study is testing whether adding educational sessions about how pain works in the brain and body makes standard back exercises more effective for people with long-term, hard-to-pinpoint low back pain. It involves 20 participants who have this pain along with a heightened sensitivity to pain signals. One group does exercises only, while the other does the same exercises plus weekly pain education, to see which approach better reduces pain, improves movement, and lessens fear of activity.
