Can a quick bike ride after lunch save your heart?
NCT ID NCT07229963
Summary
This study aims to learn if taking short exercise breaks during long periods of sitting is better for your heart and metabolism than sitting continuously. Researchers will compare gentle cycling to intense sprint cycling breaks in 16 healthy but overweight adults. They will measure blood sugar, insulin, blood pressure, and fat burning after meals to see which type of break is most helpful.
