First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at how different amounts of weightlifting affect two important chemicals in the blood: BDNF (which helps the brain) and irisin (linked to exercise). Twenty-four healthy men aged 18-30 will do resistance exercises at different loads. Researchers will measure these chemicals in blood and also test thinking speed with a Stroop test.
