Walking in a weighted suit: can it curb Anti-Fat bias in future doctors?
NCT ID NCT07430891
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether having health professions students walk on a treadmill while wearing a weighted suit (to simulate obesity) could reduce their unconscious weight bias and improve how they treat patients. Over 100 students took part, and their attitudes and decision-making were checked right away, after one week, and after eight weeks. The goal was to see if a short, hands-on experience could make future healthcare workers more understanding and fair.
