New study probes hidden mental challenges in kids with duchenne

This study looks at how Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and its treatments affect children's thinking skills (like memory and planning) and their ability to do everyday activities such as self-care, schoolwork, and play. Researchers will compare 38 children with DMD to healthy children of the same age using questionnaires and functional tests. The goal is to better understand these challenges so that future therapies can help children with DMD thrive at home and in the community.
