Can a diabetes drug stop a heart valve from hardening?

Summary
This study tests if a daily pill called DA-1229 (Evogliptin) can slow the buildup of calcium in the aortic valve, which can narrow the valve and make the heart work harder. About 580 adults with mild to moderate aortic stenosis will take either the drug or a placebo for 2 years. The goal is to see if the drug reduces valve calcium and delays the need for surgery.
