Summary
This study tested a patch called EVARREST that helps stop mild to moderate bleeding during open surgery in children. It involved 35 kids aged 1 month to 18 years having abdominal, pelvic, or chest surgery. The patch was placed on bleeding spots where other methods didn't work well, and it stopped bleeding quickly in most cases.
