New heart device tested in japan to stop sudden cardiac arrest
NCT ID NCT07091916
Summary
This study tested a new type of implantable defibrillator (EV ICD) in 14 Japanese patients at risk of dangerous, fast heart rhythms. The goal was to check if the device was safe to implant and if it could successfully deliver a life-saving shock to restore a normal heartbeat. Researchers monitored patients for two weeks after surgery for any major complications.
